ASCO Code of Conduct
Apothecaries Sundries' Mfg. Co. (ASCO) has laid down policies and procedures to guide employees, officers and directors in establishing their duties and responsibilities that comply with ethical and lawful conduct. These policies and procedures apply to all employees of ASCO and its subsidiaries. Besides, the Company may change policies and procedures without prior notice. The basic policies of our code of conduct are mentioned herein:

Fair Dealing

Confidentiality and Asset Protection
No employee or director is allowed to use confidential or proprietary information for his or her own personal gain. No employee is supposed to disclose confidential or proprietary information to any third party that he or she has obtained during his or her employment/relationship with the company. Confidential or proprietary information includes all non-public information that might cause harm to the Company and its customers, if disclosed.

Protection of Company Assets
All employees and directors have to take appropriate actions to protect the company's assets from theft, carelessness and waste. In addition, all employees and directors ensure the efficient use of the company's assets for legitimate business purposes.

Corporate Opportunities
Employees and directors are prohibited from taking opportunities for themselves through the use of company's property and/or information for personal gain and/or to compete with the Company.

Conflicts of Interest
All employees including directors must avoid any such activity or situation that conflicts with the interests of the Company and affect his or her performance in meeting his or her duties or duty objectives for the company effectively. Employees are supposed to disclose any potential conflict of interest in written to their officer/supervisor.

Accurate Recording and Reporting
As accurate information is mandatory for the company to satisfy its legal and statutory obligations, all employees and directors are directed to record and/or report information accurately and honestly. No employee or director should sign or submit any document or statement that he or she knows or believes to be false.

Safety, Environment and health
Being a responsible corporate citizen, Apothecaries Sundries' Mfg. Co. (ASCO) is committed for the cause of environment and the occupational health and safety of its employees. With Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) vision, the company employs all possible measures that protect the environment and promote the safety and health of the employees. We never compromise with our EHS policy whatever be the situation. In addition, we also look out for continuous improvement in our EHS policy, which has following underlying principles:
  • Complying with the all the laws and regulations meant to our business operations
  • Providing a safe working environment
  • Minimizing the use and emission of toxic materials
  • ASCO contributes for all its employees to be covered under social Insurance Scheme through Employees' State Insurance Corporation (ESIC), a body under Government of India. Employees' State Insurance envisaged an integrated need based social insurance scheme that protect the interest of workers in contingencies such as sickness, maternity, physical disablement etc. It also guarantees reasonably good medical care to workers and their immediate dependants
